Camp Good Counsel

Camp Good Counsel is a five-week summer day camp founded in 1972 as a community outreach program of Our Lady of Good Counsel High School. The program is open to boys and girls ages 4 - 8 who are referred by their school counselors and is free-of-charge to all qualified families. Each child is assigned a student volunteer (counselor) who participates with the child in all activities and is trained to provide encouragement and positive feedback. This one-on-one relationship between camper and counselor is the focus of the program.

The program stresses getting along with others in structured recreational activities. Activities include swimming, sports, arts and crafts, and field trips. Breakfast and lunch is provided daily by Montgomery County Food Services. All transportation is provided by Camp GC.

The Camp is central to Good Counsel's mission of service and provides a wonderful opportunity to live-out that service in our own community.
