STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM - IRELAND

During Spring Break of 2019, up to ten lucky sophomores will be able to participate in an Exchange in Ireland!

Villiers School, founded in 1821, is a prestigious IB secondary private school in Limerick, Ireland. They have invited up to 10 sophomores from Good Counsel to experience the innovative Irish Transition Year curriculum during Spring Break. Participants will be able to explore fun subjects such as Film Studies, Outdoor Pursuits and Origami, while visiting the beautiful and historic countryside in Ireland. Here is a glimpse of what Villiers is like: https://vimeo.com/244989664/67c327ac62

GC sophomores will go to Ireland from March 23 - 31, 2019. It will be Spring Break at GC, so you won't need to worry about missing school. You will host your Irish student from February 15 - 23, 2019. This covers the President's Day weekend, so you can enjoy fun outings with your exchange students.

There are no fees involved - you will just your flight (about $1000) and personal spending. Be sure to check with your family calendar before you apply. Any questions, please contact Mrs. Yihung Mohs at ymohs@olgchs.org. Click on the link below to apply:

GLOBAL SCHOLARS PROGRAM

Under the guidance of Director of Global Programs, students build e-portfolios by depositing essays and projects they complete through activities and courses at GC that are related to global issues and perspectives. Successful students receive recognition upon graduation and can use their e-portfolios for college application. See the template of the e-portfolio and how it works here.
