Description

In this virtual camp, you will learn the skills of a coder and the mindset of an entrepreneur by building and releasing an iPhone app with your friends for a good cause. You will gain an exciting set of 21st-century tech skills while learning how to make your app. To start, you’ll learn about logic, coding (Javascript and React), and design, through fun group-based activities. By the end of the week, you will complete a final project making an app for a real non-profit organization in Maryland. You don’t need any previous experience or special software. All you need is your creativity, an interest in coding or design, and a desire to help others.

Important: Students DO NOT receive credit for this camp. It has a 1 to 6 instructor to student ratio. Space is limited, but be sure to join the waitlist if space fills. Depending on interest, we may be able to open more sessions.

Service Hours Opportunity: Upon completion of this one-week commitment, students will be eligible for 5 hours of service for their 2021-2022 school year requirement.
