Description

Are you in a rush to grab a brush? Are you fixin’ to do some mixin’? Are you tending towards blending? Do you need clues about hues? Well then get ready to put on your painting pants.

Just kidding, you don’t need special pants, all you need is a good attitude to participate in this pure painting powerhouse program—no experience necessary. In order to build specific skills, we’ll undertake a few structured painting projects, but campers will also have a chance to work on paintings of their choosing. Feel free to bring photos, ideas, and plenty of painting fortitude.

We’ll make use of acrylic paint, watercolor paint, and ink. Activities will include but are not limited to:

  • stretching a canvas
  • painting a portrait in warm and cool hues
  • achieving gradients
  • Sumi ink landscapes
  • awesome watercolor effects

What to bring

Full concessions will be available (pizza, chips, drinks, etc.), or bring a bag lunch and water bottle.
