Beginner Volleyball Day Camp
July 18-July 22 | 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

This camp is intended for girls between the ages of 11-16 who are emerging volleyball players. The basic skills of the sport (passing, setting, attacking, and team play) will be taught in a fun and exciting volleyball atmosphere.
This is a great way for new players and those just beginning their volleyball careers to learn the game. Teamwork and confidence will be promoted in a positive training environment.
What to bring
- Volleyball knee pads, sneakers, shirt that covers the collarbone, shorts/spandex, and towel
- Lunch can be brought from home in a cooler, or a lunch plan is available for purchase two weeks before the start of camp
- Full water bottle with camper's name on it
Karen Kart, GC Volleyball Head Coach
A volleyball coach for 28 years, Coach Kart enters her 20th season at Our Lady of Good Counsel with a record of 306 - 112 and has won 6 WCAC Titles, 6 MD/DC Private School Championships, 3 city titles. The squad has been honored as an American Volleyball Coaches’ Association Academic All-American Team for the past 18 seasons. The program has many players who have earned All-Met Honors, including Player of the Year. Many continue to play at the Division I, II, and III Collegiate levels.
Most important is that each camper learn and improve while having fun. When not coaching, Coach Kart works for MCPS as an instructional specialist for physical education. She is a former athletic trainer and strength coach.
