El Salvador Service Trips
Alumni

The Our Lady of Good Counsel El Salvador Service Trip is an international service-learning trip that has been running for over a decade. It is a way for the Good Counsel community to maintain a strong connection with the school while serving the people of El Salvador and building lasting relationships.
GC partners with the Building Futures Project to serve disadvantaged communities in Ciudad Arce and Las Delicias, San Salvador. Participants will engage in construction projects, home visits, supporting a daycare center, and assisting those who are food insecure.
Alongside service, participants will visit important sites including Centro Monseñor Romero at UCA (honoring Archbishop Romero and the Jesuit martyrs), Hospital de la Divina Providencia (site of St. Oscar Romero’s assassination), San Salvador Cathedral (final resting place of Archbishop Romero), the National Library of El Salvador (modern library built with support from China), San Salvador Volcano & lava fields at El Boquerón National Park, and the San Andrés Archaeological Site (Mayan ruins near Ciudad Arce).
Whether you're seeking to give back, grow spiritually, or reconnect with GC’s mission, we invite you to be part of these unforgettable journeys.
