Applying to the Ryken Program

Thank you for your interest in our Ryken Program.

Please review this information to help guide you through the application process for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year.

Get Started Here

  1. Students must complete a Good Counsel online admissions application and submit it to Good Counsel with a non-refundable $60.00 application fee by Friday, December 13, 2019.

  2. Students must take the High School Placement Test in their parochial school.

  3. Transcripts and recommendations are automatically sent to GC when you choose GC on your application.

  1. Students must complete a Good Counsel online admissions application and submit it to Good Counsel with a non-refundable $60.00 application fee by Friday, December 13, 2019.

  2. Students must make arrangements with the Catholic Schools Office to take the High School Placement Test.

  3. At the end of the 1st quarter, request a full transcript and testing information from previous two years, including recommendations from current Math and English teachers.


All Ryken Applicants

1. Submit a written report for all psycho-educational testing

2. Testing must have been conducted no earlier than 7th grade and must include at least:

      • An intelligence test (WISC IV or similar)
      • An achievement test (Woodcock-Johnson or similar)
      • Summary and recommendations
      • Suggested accommodations at GC

It is helpful to also include data regarding accommodations for standardized testing and data on the student's ability to meet foreign language requirements.
