WCAC Champion Field Hockey team met with the National Fitness Foundation (NFF) in support of their National Endowment for Youth Sports program.

Yesterday afternoon, our back-to-back WCAC Champion Field Hockey team met with the National Fitness Foundation (NFF) in support of their National Endowment for Youth Sports program.

As part of the launch of the National Endowment for Youth Sports, the NFF is asking youth, high school, college and pro teams to sign the American Youth Sports Pledge, a visual recognition of one's commitment to supporting and promoting youth sports for all children. The goal of the policy is to expand youth sports participation in America, all as a means for improving health outcomes for children.

Just as John Harbaugh was the first pro sports coach to sign the Pledge, Max Scherzer was the first pro athlete to sign the Pledge and Carl Lewis was the first Olympian to sign the Pledge.....the Good Counsel Field Hockey team became the first high school athletics team out of approximately 20,000 to sign the Pledge!
