Since its founding in 1958, Our Lady of Good Counsel High School has been blessed with faithful, dedicated, and generous philanthropic support from our alumni, parents, grandparents, faculty, staff and friends, who believe in our mission to educate young men and women to become tomorrow’s leaders in an ever-changing world. As a Xaverian Brothers Sponsored School, we are committed to providing a rigorous, Catholic, educational experience to all qualified students, regardless of their financial standing, and to help them excel, serve, and love. Tuition does not fully cover the cost of educating each student, and we rely on donations to the Fund for Good Counsel to help provide the financial support needed to meet our operating expenses. The Fund for Good Counsel also provides important tuition assistance to students with demonstrated financial need.

A donation to the Fund for Good Counsel touches the lives of every student, every day. Gifts to the Fund are unrestricted, allowing the school’s leadership to determine where this support is most needed and can make the most impact. Every gift matters every year. We invite you to invest in our students and their education by donating to the Fund for Good Counsel each year. Gifts of any amount are appreciated and valued.

Thank you for making Our Lady of Good Counsel High School and our students a philanthropic priority and for your generosity.

What is the Fund for Good Counsel?

The Fund for Good Counsel is Our Lady of Good Counsel High School’s Annual Giving campaign. The generous support and dedicated commitment of alumni, parents and friends allows Good Counsel to continue to strengthen its financial future. Each donation acts as a bridge between the funds generated by tuition and fees, and the actual cost of educating a student. All students at Good Counsel receive financial support.

Why not raise tuition to cover those expenses?

Good Counsel's Board of Directors works hard to keep expenses down and relies on the contributions from the members of its community to keep a Good Counsel experience within reach for our families and follow our mission.

How much should I give to the Fund for Good Counsel?

Only you can decide; charitable giving is a personal decision. We ask that all members of the community make our school a philanthropic priority and contribute to the best of their ability. Remember, your contribution will directly enhance the educational experience of each one of our students. We value gifts of all sizes, and every gift matters.

How much have others given?

Nearly everything on the Good Counsel campus is a result of the generosity of others. As previous donors have provided for today's students, we must assume the responsibility and provide for future generations. The St. Francis Xavier Society honors the school's most generous donors who contribute $1,000 or more annually. Membership in the St. Francis Xavier Society is open to all those who make a gift of $1000 and more. Members of the St. Francis Xavier Society who contribute to the Fund for Good Counsel will enjoy an invitation to the annual St. Francis Xavier Dinner in October, recognition in the Annual Donor Report, receive two Gold entrance cards to all Good Counsel home athletic and drama events, and enjoy invitations to special events. There are also gift clubs ranging from $1.00 to $25,000 and above, but gifts of even $5.00 make a difference. No gift is too small.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Contributions are fully tax-deductible in accordance with IRS regulations. Donors receive a receipt for their records.

May I use a credit card?

Yes, the school accepts gifts of cash, securities, and most major credit cards. Many donors prefer to pay by credit card to take advantage of frequent flyer miles and other rewards programs. To make a secure donation, please visit www.olgchs.org/giving.
