Parent Portal Information

Dear Parents,

 Parents and students will now have constant access to grades, attendance, schedules, directory, contact information, etc.  This is available through the Parent Portal.  To access this information, please follow the directions below:

 Parents:

  • Log into www.olgchs.org:843/portal or log into the Good Counsel web page www.olgchs.org and click on the link.
  • A login screen appears that asks for your oldest or your only child’s name.
    • The name must be entered as all one word in lower case letters.   Example:  roncolbert. 
    • The password is the student’s ID, which can be found on his/her schedule.
      • It will then require you to change the password by entering the old password first and then entering the new password twice. 
  • Once you are in Parent Portal, you should see your child’s name or children’s names.  Click on one of the names and a drop-down menu will appear from which you can select the child’s grades, schedule, attendance, etc.

Students:

    • The password is the student number.

 Grade Updates:

Teachers are required to update grades in their electronic grade book at least once every two weeks.  Dates parents and students can expect updates are listed on the school calendar.

 Attendance:

Attendance may not be accurate until the end of the school day.  For example, if a student goes to the health room prior to first period and remains there during first period, the student’s first-period teacher would mark the student absent.  This would be corrected by the end of the day.

Our Lady of Good Counsel High School is anxious to keep our parents informed about what is going on at school. Our main source of communication is through email.
