Why This Camp Is For You

The camp’s goal is to provide quality instruction in the fundamentals of basketball.  We will have a small camper to counselor ratio, which assures that all campers will have individual instruction.  We feel it is important for the girls to have fun and enjoy their week at camp while still working hard to improve their skills.  Teamwork, effort, sportsmanship, and confidence will be promoted in a positive training environment.  This year, we will be including some additional advanced drills.  Each girl will receive a complimentary camp shirt as well as a report card analyzing her skills, including recommendations for improvement.

Camp Staff

Tom Splaine has finished his seventh year as Head Coach of the Lady Falcons.  The Lady Falcons have won two WCAC Championships and City Titles in the  last three years.  Coach Splaine has won the coach of the year honors the last two years for the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference!  Good Counsel Women’s Basketball has been ranked in the top 5 for the last two years and nationally ranked during that time as well.  Coach Splaine has also directed AAU girls' teams from Montgomery County to top 5 in the nation finishes.  Joining Coach Splaine will be fellow coaches, an elite staff of players, and Falcon alumni who are eager to teach the game of basketball.  The staff teaches the basic fundamentals of the game while showing an enthusiasm for working with youngsters.
