Technology

Our Lady of Good Counsel High School's Technology Department develops students' computer and information literacy skills which will enable them to become successful problem-solvers, decision-makers, and communicators in our changing society. The program emphasizes developing skills in a range of software programs, multimedia resources, databases and computer-assisted learning modules. The department stresses competence and growth in writing, problem solving, research and communication skills and places emphasis on critically evaluating the accuracy of information accessed through the Internet.

In keeping with Good Counsel High School's beliefs, the Technology Department ensures students are effectively challenged. Courses are offered on various levels to promote the academic growth of each student. Lifelong learning skills prepare students for constructive and responsible participation in a diverse and changing society. To achieve this, the department provides a framework for students to learn how to design and construct solutions to real-world problems.
