Mathematics
The Mathematics Department at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School gives each student the mathematical knowledge necessary to survive in today's complex world. Our courses allow each student to practice the math and problem-solving skills which provide a good foundation for further study at the college level.Graduation from Good Counsel High School requires four credits in mathematics. Therefore, the department offers courses in Algebra I through AP Calculus. There are regular and honors level courses. We also offer four courses in mathematics for students in our Ryken Program. Graphing calculators are used in all the classes and computer activities are used when appropriate.
