Over the weekend, the GC Robotics team competed in their first robotics tournament in Baltimore, and their "alliance" won the tournament. It was a small tournament, and the team was paired with other strong teams, but the Falcons did their job well and made a solid contribution to their alliance's victory.

Coach Dr. Turcan spoke with the head judge of the tournament who was rather impressed with the GC team considering it was their first tournament. She noted their confidence and their ability to make the proper adjustments and fixes to their robot to overcome some early set-backs.

This win qualifies the team for the Maryland State Championship in March, as well as the US Open Robotics Tournament in Iowa in April.

The team is comprised of Matthew Spear '19, Tim Ge '19, and Josh Titus '19, John Cavanaugh '20 and Anthony Parra '20.
